Courtney Weir Therapy operates on stolen Kaurna land and recognises that sovereignty has not been ceded. The impacts of colonisation and intergenerational trauma are present in the lives of Indigenous and First Nations people today. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are the traditional custodians of the land, air, sea and sky all across Australia.
Courtney Weir Therapy acknowledges that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have been successfully raising their children and growing happy, healthy families and communities for tens of thousands of years.
Courtney welcomes Queer, non-heteronormative, trans and gender diverse children, parents, carers and families.
Courtney exclusively uses therapeutic modalities that are neurodivergent affirming, strengths based and trauma informed.
Courtney works from an anti victim blaming, anti pathologisation and feminist lens. Courtney engages in ongoing training, supervision and self reflection to ensure her work is anti-racist, anti-discriminatory and moves towards dismantling systems of oppression. Courtney provides therapy at locations which are accessible for wheelchair or mobility aid users and also offers therapy online. All identities and bodies are welcome.
